Esprit Stream Valley Restoration

Status:  Requested Engineering Grant. End Date: TBD

The Esprit Stream restoration has, over time, become the heaviest carrier of sediment to Lake Churchill now that the Churchill East Village Stream has been restored. In the Spring of 2021, the board did a lake and stream valley walk and noted that there was heavy erosion and bank degradation in the Esprit Stream Restoration. The board first checked on the status of a project with the Esprit Condiminiums. After gaining an understanding of that project, the Churchill Community Foundation board approved funds for and engineering company to start a design concept for the stream restoration. After working on the design a grant application was applied for to win an engineering grant to move the design from 30% design to an 80% design.
